Mrs. Taylor's Weekly Update & Homework 

Happy Friday,   

3.20-3.23            

First, Mrs. Spellman and I want to thank everyone who donated money to our class e-wallet for the bookfair.  We were able to get a ton of new books for the kids to enjoy in our room!

Next week we are going to explore the question “How do plants grow and change?”  In the informational text From Seed to Plant, we’ll learn about the growth of a plant from a seed.  In the informational text Super Soil, we’ll learn how soil helps plants grow.

**We will also have some art projects to make connections to what we are reading**

Unit 25 spelling words:

In math, we will continue to work with money by identifying the place value of money amounts and to find the value of a group of bills and coins.  We will then move on and focus on time.  We will learn how to tell time to the hour and half hour, tell time in 5-minute intervals, time to the quarter hour and to tell time in 5-minute intervals in two ways-minutes before and minutes after the hour.

In science, we are learning about the life cycle of a caterpillar and are making observations of our own caterpillars in class. We will learn the different parts of the butterfly (head, thorax, abdomen, proboscis, 6-legs, antennae, compound eyes, wings, etc.)
